Ms. Stotts' Art Classes focuses on building skills and fostering creativity!
Beginning Art is a semester long class open to anyone who has not previously taken art in middle school. In this class we cover the basic art elements through interesting art projects and use a variety of materials. Intermediate Art is a semester long class open to 7th and 8th grade students who have taken Beginning art or had art in 6th grade. In this class we review the art elements and explore the principals of design using a variety of materials. Advanced Art is open to 8th graders only and is a yearlong course. It is designed to help students prepare for high-school level art classes, as well as prepare portfolios for application to McCallum Fine Arts, (although this is not required).
Art Club is open to any student who is interested in spending time outside of school making art. Art Club is also a great place to get involved with community art projects, such as local and national contests, First Night Austin, Habitat for Humanity, murals around the school, etc. Art Club will meet on Thursdays from 3-5pm in the art room.
